Explorer Sport Trac - 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
By David Temple - November 7 - 5:26 pmI recently purchased a new Sport Trac. This vehicle met the needs I wanted. I didnt need or want a full size pickup. But I wanted a bed to haul items that wouldnt fit inside a normal SUV. I wanted light duty towing capability and with 5300 lbs it easily meets that need. I have found that is has a quiet and smooth ride on the road. The seats are very comfortable. The interior is user friendly and the console easy to see. It isnt loaded with a lot of fancy electronic gadgets unless you want to add them on, which I didnt want. I have found it has smooth acceleration. It doesnt snap your head back but I wasnt looking for a sports car. Really good low end power and the brakes stop on a dime.

I love my Sport Trac! - 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
By Lindzay71676 - September 11 - 10:00 amI absolutely love this truck. You get the best of both worlds as an SUV or as a truck with the bed on back. The interior is very luxurious with all the extras. My best vehicle purchase so far!

I LOVE MY SPORT TRAC - 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
By Hillary - April 18 - 2:36 pmI traded in my Mustang GT for this truck and my only regret is the Sport Trac not having the power the GT had. Other than that I love it! And it does get a lot of looks on a hot summer day with all the windows down and clean as can be.

Sport Trac comments - 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
By curt james - March 31 - 12:20 pmInstalled a intake and exhaust, the gas mileage is incredible. I have an 03 Ranger, an 00 Excursion, and a 03 Focus; by far I like the Sport Trac the best.

perfect for my lifestyle - 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
By tralic - January 6 - 8:23 amI always fancied having a pick-up because I do a lot of maintenance with properties I own and also like to take my bikes and other stuff to the beach. This is the perfect all rounder. Very practical with lots of nice details like the back window that goes down and all the anchors to tie down any loads. With the bed extender the capacity should be plenty for most occasions. Solid, tough build quality and fine engine. We have 3 vehicles. This is the cheapest and most popular. There are numerous times when the Sporttrac has been indispensible that I and my friends are constantly grateful for such an excellent purchase.

It fits the need of the do it your self lifestyle and is totally trouble free. Just gas and go. I have experienced over 23 mpg on highway driving at posted speeds +/- 5 mph.

Great Truck - 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
By Jason - September 24 - 5:13 pmThe first time I saw this truck I wanted one. I bought this truck and it is the best vehicle I ever owned. We went camping and the truck box was great for hauling all of the gear. I cant wait until the 2007 Sport Trac and will buy one unless my wife buys one first.

Luv my "Little Ugly Truck" - 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
By Brenda Scott - January 4 - 3:50 amIve wanted one of these since they first came out in 2001. Ive always said "they are so ugly that they are cute". I was finally able to purchase one in March of 2005. Mine has the bed extender, the split tonneau cover, the moon roof ... the works. It handles very well and I love the roominess. I also love the separate heating and cooling controls for the backseat passengers. I am not pleased with the gas mileage. The sticker promised 15-20 mpg. I usually get 13.2 miles per gallon. Quite a big difference from what was promised!
